"I have been active on the local Camden school board and knew our District was considered low wealth and high needs. Many of our students qualify for free breakfast and or lunch. It definitely showed me that we have a student population with food insecurity. Last year I started working with Leslie's Laundry, a wonderful and much needed new charity. They aid families with infants through age eighteen with new and clean, gently worn clothing year-round. Many infants and children go without basic good clothing, including mittens, hats, coats, snow pants, and boots in the winter months. Through the generous support of donors and volunteers, Leslie's laundry Foundation has been able to help hundreds of children with clean, gently worn clothing. At times the Foundation is also able to gift new items to children! I am humbled to be a part of this Mission as a volunteer."

I saw on Facebook that Leslie's Laundry was looking for volunteers and I said to myself, "This is what I need." The first time I was there volunteering, when someone came to pick up, I saw how thankful and happy it made them. I knew for sure that that was what I needed to be doing."

"I want to give a special shout-out to Leslie's Laundry Foundation, on how caring she and her volunteers are towards families in need. They are non-judgmental and will gladly give a bag or two of clothing for the kids in need. I finally got out of my shell and messaged her for help with my 3 little ones, and not even 2 days later I was able to pick up clothing for my kids. What's amazing is you can bring your little kiddo's with you to pick up your things, she has a wonderful play area just for the kids to play while moms have a moment to themself. Leslie's Laundry Foundation is all about giving to the community and is 100% non-profit. Its goal is to help families, by providing 'like new' clothing, with no stains or rips, for children to go to school in. They take the time to wash, dry, iron, and fold every piece of clothing that comes in. They also help families at Christmas. I started as a recipient for my kids to get clothing at Leslie's Laundry Foundation, now I love to donate to Ms. Leslie and her team, in order to help the community and kids in need. My son Wyatt is 5 and wherever we go he has to get something for another kid in need and bring it to Leslie's Laundry. We're all supposed to be a community and help look out for one another. I can honestly say with my experience with the Foundation, she is definitely bringing back how a community is supposed to be and showing love and support for people in need. My family will always be grateful to her and her husband Bob, and also her volunteer Julia, for treating me and my kids as family and never judging us. So please let's all come together and support this Foundation by donating new or gently used clothing or maybe some money to her CashApp to help with laundry soap or dryer sheets. Please don't be ashamed to text or message her for help, you definitely won't be disappointed.
Leslie's Laundry Foundation means to me - lending a hand, helping and family in need. It doesn't matter if you're rich, poor, etc. No questions asked or judgement passed. It's all about giving to the community and seeing all the bright smiles on the kiddo's faces. They have so much love to offer.
Leslie, I want to give you and Bob a special shout-out thank you for everything, for helping me find myself again, to love myself again, always being a phone call away when I need to vent or cry, and for loving my kids the way that you do! I will never be able to show you or tell you how grateful I am that God brought you into our lives.
So please, if your babies are wearing stained, ripped, too small, or too big clothes, feel free to reach out to Leslie's Laundry Foundation for help. Or help them help others by donating towards the mission or donating new or gently used clothing for another kiddo."
